Amorim eyes Juventus defender Danilo for Manchester United

Start

According to reports from England, Juventus defender Danilo has caught the attention of Manchester United, particularly their incoming manager Ruben Amorim. The Portuguese coach, who is set to take charge of the Red Devils from tomorrow, is reportedly keen on bringing the Brazilian defender to Old Trafford.

Calciomercato report how Danilo has had a less than stellar start to the season under Thiago Motta at Juventus, often finding himself relegated to the bench. On the occasions when he has been called upon, his performances have not met expectations.

However, acquiring Danilo in January is not currently considered a priority for Manchester United. Amorim will need to convince the club’s management if he wishes to pursue the former Real Madrid defender.

This season, Danilo has made 10 appearances for Juventus, totaling 428 minutes of play. His record includes one yellow card and one red card, the latter resulting from two bookable offenses.

The potential move could provide Danilo with a fresh start and offer Manchester United additional defensive options. However, it remains to be seen whether Amorim can persuade the club to make a move for the experienced Brazilian international.
