Juventus have reached an agreement with Roma to loan promising young defender Dean Huijsen until the end of the season. The Giallorossi have suffered a series of injury setbacks and were in desperate need for a cheap defensive option in the January transfer window. Despite initial reports suggesting Juve were cold on the idea, the Bianconeri have now agreed to allow the young Dutchman to leave on loan.
Sky Sport Italia, Fabrizio Romano and numerous others report that an agreement has been reached between the two sides. Roma youngster Luigi Cherubini is expected to be included in the deal, and could make the move to Turin as part of the deal.
Huijsen had been set to join Frosinone, linking up with a number of other Bianconeri young talent including Kaio Jorge and Matias Soule. Reports suggest that playing under Jose Mourinho was a key factor in Huijsen’s decision to make the move to Rome instead.
