Fiorentina have reportedly turned their attentions to Monza coach Raffaele Palladino as Daniele De Rossi looks set to continue at Roma. With Viola head coach Vincenzo Italiano seemingly set to depart in the summer, the club have begun exploring various options for his replacement. Names like Roma’s De Rossi, Genoa’s Alberto Gilardino, Pisa’s Alberto Aquilani, and former Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri have been considered.
However, recent attempts to lure De Rossi to Fiorentina hit a roadblock as the former midfielder expressed his intention to focus on securing a new deal with Roma. Consequently, any negotiations with Fiorentina have been put on hold until the summer.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via TMW), Fiorentina have now turned their attention to Palladino, deeming him the ideal candidate for the job. In the upcoming weeks, discussions will intensify concerning the terms and duration of Palladino’s contract.
The 39-year-old coach has garnered praise for his work at Monza over the past two years. It’s anticipated that Palladino will sign a two-year deal with performance-based bonuses and renewal options contingent on the team’s on-field success.
