Inter have reportedly agreed personal terms with midfielder Kristjan Asllani but still have to reach an agreement with Empoli. The Nerazzurri have been pursuing the Albanian midfielder since before the end of last season and a deal now looks close.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the two parties have reached an agreement and Inter view Asllani as the perfect backup for midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
Inter are still in talks with Empoli regarding a final transfer fee but talks are reportedly progressing, despite interest from Napoli, AC Milan, and Newcastle United in the 20-year-old.
The Rossoneri are reportedly prepared to sign Asllani and loan him straight back to Empoli for the 2022-23 season.
