Juventus are reportedly keeping a close eye on Napoli strikers Giovanni Simeone and Giacomo Raspadori as potential additions to their squad. The Turin giants may be in the market for a new backup striker, and the Napoli duo has caught their attention.
Radio Kiss Kiss (Via TMW) report that Napoli seem to be considering their options in the forward department. Walid Cheddira, who impressed Antonio Conte in recent friendlies, could potentially fill a backup role at Napoli. The club invested €7 million in Cheddira last year, and he scored 7 goals in 36 matches while on loan at Frosinone. Despite interest from Fenerbahce and Valencia, Napoli is not looking to sell him at this stage.
Juventus’ interest in Simeone and Raspadori is partly driven by their efforts to offload Arkadiusz Milik. Several clubs, including Brentford, West Ham, Sevilla, Bologna, and Genoa, have shown interest in the Polish striker. However, Milik’s high salary could be a stumbling block for smaller teams.
Raspadori, who was brought to Napoli by Cristiano Giuntoli for €27 million, is particularly appealing due to his versatility. Thiago Motta, who previously expressed interest in signing Raspadori for Bologna, appreciates this quality.
In addition to the Napoli forwards, Juventus is also considering Mateo Retegui for a similar role in their squad.
