Juventus have officially announced the dismissal of Paolo Montero as the coach of their Next Gen team. The club released a statement thanking the Uruguayan for his efforts “in this challenging start to the season with Next Gen, for the past two years directing the then Under-19 team, as well as for his willingness to take on the role of first team coach in the final part of the 2023/24 season.”
The club expressed their appreciation for Montero’s values and experience, both as a champion on the field and later as a coach, stating that he will always be welcome at Juventus and that Juventus will always be his home.
To replace Montero, Massimo Brambilla is set to make a return to the club. Brambilla previously coached the Next Gen team, leading them to the Coppa Italia final and a seventh-place finish in Serie C last year, the best placement since the inception of Juventus’ second team.
Brambilla had left Vinovo in the summer but is now ready to return after parting ways with Foggia. He is expected to sign an agreement until the end of the season, with the primary objective being to secure the team’s safety in the league.
