Tuttosport claim that Samuel Iling-Junior’s situation at Juventus has now changed, with the club keen to renew his contract. A number of Italian papers had suggested that the young Englishman could be sold in the January transfer window to help fund the clubs transfer ambitions.
Turin-based Tuttosport now claim that the players performances in recent months have convinced the club to think otherwise.
The 20-year-old midfielder scored the decisive opening goal in the Bianconeri’s 2-1 win over Salernitana at the weekend, a victory that keeps them within touching distance of league leaders Inter.
Iling-Junior has a contact until 2025, and dealing with other clubs in the future could be more complicated without a contract renewal. For this reason, in the coming weeks the management of the Bianconeri will meet the entourage of Iling-Junior and will lay the foundations for a contract extension.
Among the clubs that have asked for the youngster was Monza, who expressed the will to take him on loan, but the Old Lady were not open to this solution.
