Locatelli: ‘We played Intelligently and maturely’

Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli believes it was a ‘mature and intelligent’ performance from the Bianconeri in their 1-0 win over Inter. The 25-year-old turned in one of his best performances for the Old Lady, playing a vital role in their midfield battle with the Nerazzurri. Speaking with JTV (as quoted by TuttoJuve)  after the game, the youngster reflected on a positive result for Juventus and talked about his disappointment at being left out of the Italy national team for the Euro 2024 qualifiers against England and Malta:

“It was a great satisfaction to win the Derby D’Italia at their home, Inter-Juve is always a great challenge. We could have finished off the game earlier, but we won as a great team, we are very satisfied, we played intelligently and maturely.

“Not being called to the national team? I was disappointed, my goal is to return to the Azzurri soon through performance on the field. Next month? We have to continue with this attitude and performance, we are very confident.”
