Lazio President Claudio Lotito has hit back at the clubs ultras following their boycott of the weekends match against Milan. The biancocelesti conceded a late goal to lose the game 2-1 but the hardcore supporters had already abandoned the game to protest against Lotito and ticket prioces.
Speaking to La Stampa after the game, Lotito offered his frank assessment of the match and the ultras:
Ask them if the game went well. If they don’t come to the stadium, who will they get into fights with? The truth is, they create their own problems and protests, trying to use any reason to cause trouble, like €40 for a ticket. They should see how much other clubs charge.
It’s still premature to talk about Sarri’s future at Lazio. Having said that, I do respect him, he is a man of great quality and works 24 hours a day. That is not up for debate.”
