Milan reach Noa Lang agreement

Start

Milan have reached an agreement with Club Brugge winger Noa Lang and are ‘close’ to agreeing a transfer for the player. The Rossoneri have been following the Dutchman for the past season and are reportedly close to securing him for the new season.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Brugge want a figure close to €22 million, a figure considered reasonable by Milan, while Noa’s agent and father met club directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara on Wednesday.

Gazzetta suggest the move is very close to happening, although the club are temporarily ‘blocked’ on the transfer market due to the imminent transfer of ownership from the Elliott fund to RedBird.

Maldini and Massara would have been able to close the deal but the duo’s contracts with the club are about to expire, and it’s not yet clear who gets to authorize purchases.

The certainty is that on Wednesday, agent Bart Baving and Jeffrey Lang (Noa’s father) met the Rossoneri managers at Casa Milan and deepened the discussion over a move. This is the second time they’ve met each other, the first was in February.

Noa has every intention of moving to Milan, and a financial agreement with the player has already been found on the basis of a five-year contract.

Lang has been offered the role of central attacking midfielder, the position that at the beginning of last season would have been reserved for Brahim Diaz. Lang can play in all three positions behind the center forward, usually as left winger, but he knows how to adapt.
