Milan will decline offers for Rafael Leao

Milan are set to decline all offers for Rafael Leao, despite Premier League side Chelsea being interested in the winger. The Portuguese international  has returned to Milanello for pre-season training, but has been linked with a number of European clubs this summer.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the player is happy in Milan and club management are keen to improve his existing contract.

Rossoneri management are expected to offer Leao an improved contract that would see him earn close to €6m per season.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in the player, however there are no discussions at present and Milan will turn down all offers for the player.

Gazzetta suggest there is an ‘air of optimism’ surrounding the contract renewal talks and no obstacles to an agreement over a new contract.

Leao played a pivotal role in Milan’s title success last season, scoring 14 goals in 42 appearances for the club.
