Monza 1-0 Juventus Player Ratings

Juventus put in one of their worst performances yet, slipping to a 1-0 defeat to a resolute Monza side with Angel Di Maria being sent off for a debatable challenge.

Perin: Little to do in the opening half, sprang into life in the second ’45 but could do little on the Monza goal.  5.0/10

Danilo: A couple of indifferent moments, made a really poor choice when he could have played in Kostic. 5.0/10

Bremer: A little shaky and picked up an early booking that saw him tread a tightrope for much of the second half. 5.0/10

Gatti: Seemed to have more to deal with on the right side and was woefully caught napping for the Monza opener. 3.5/10

De Sciglio: Pretty solid and weathered some of the early pressure well, but offered nothing in attack. 4.5/10

McKennie: No grip on the game, aimless runs, offered no threat in the final third. Dreadful. 4.0/10

Paredes: Offered little by way of creativity, aimless passes, wasted deliveries on set-pieces. 4.0/10

Miretti: The only Juventus midfielder really pushing to move the team forward in the opening exchanges. Struggled in the second half. 5.5/10

Kostic: A frustrated ’45, springing down the flanks but not offering end product. 4.0/10

Di Maria: Anonymous for the opening half before being sent off for a reckless and stupid elbow. 2.0/10

Mari: Very little to do and seemed very comfortable for the opening half. Made a great last man tackle and was generally excellent. 7.0/10

Izzo: Good early chance, headed over – Did the same when presented with another excellent chance, but he was a real threat. 6.5/10

Ciurria: Tested Perin from range with a  decent strike before providing the assist for the opener. 6.5/10

Pessina: Smart positioning to apply pressure to the Juve backline.  6.0/10

Rovella: Good early start, a shot just wide and some great linkup play with Mota, constantly on the ball. 7.0/10

Sensi: Some clever balls to linkup play but the timing was a little off at times. 6.0/10

Augusto: Cut inside and hit a decent effort straight at Perin. 6.0/10

Caprari: Some wasted chances in clever positions 5.5/10

Mota: A pacey and tricky player who started the game with some smart runs but his finishing lacked. 5.5/10
