Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo vows to regain fans’ trust

Start

Napoli’s captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo spoke at a press conference earlier today, addressing the turbulent recent months which included transfer links with Juventus. The Italian defender spoke on various topics, including his commitment to the club and his determination to win back the fans’ trust.

Atmosphere in Training Camp

Di Lorenzo began by describing the atmosphere at the training camp. “There is great enthusiasm, and I have been welcomed well even after everything that has happened. I wanted to put a full stop and start again in the best way possible. I know that some fans may hold grudges against me, and it will be up to me to regain their trust, especially with those who are still angry with me,” he said.

Commitment to Napoli

Addressing his future with Napoli, Di Lorenzo emphasized his dedication to the club. “I am more than serene. Somebody said I am sad and quiet, but these are bull****. These things are not true. I am calm and ready to play at the Euros with Italy. When the time to talk about Napoli comes, I’ll do so, but right now, the most important thing is the Euros,” he stated.

Gratitude and Future Plans

Reflecting on the team’s current state and future ambitions, Di Lorenzo expressed his gratitude towards the organization and the fans. “We are happy to start again from here, just like last year. I want to thank the organization and the fans, who are giving us the same enthusiasm we felt last season. We have a new coach, new players, and we’ve lost some, but the desire to improve is there from everyone, and that is what matters,” he said.
