Napoli are closing in on a deal to sign Getafe left-back Mathias Olivera this summer with only the final details to be resolved. The 24-year-old has been with the La Liga club since 2017 and was part of the Uruguay under-20 team which won 2017 South American U-20 Championship.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano and Nicolo Schira report that the Partenopei are close to agreeing a deal for the Uruguayan. Romano reports that Olivera is a ‘priority’ for Napoli in the summer as a deal is close to being agreed with Getafe.
Schira goes into more detail on the potential deal, stating that Napoli will pay Getafe €13 million in total, €11 million up-front and a further €2 million in bonus payments.
Olivera is expected to sign a contract until 2027 having already agreed personal terms on a €1.4 million deal.
