Armand Lauriente has emerged as a transfer target for Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray and Besiktas.

Lauriente is being tracked by the duo with Sassuolo bracing themselves for a number of January bids. The Frenchman has impressed so far this year and scored in the 2-2 draw with AC Milan on matchday 15.

The Super Lig sides are keen to increase their attacking options and view Lauriente as a suitable candidate. After netting against the Rossoneri, Lauriente has five Serie A goals contributions to his name this term.

Armand Lauriente Transfer News

Even though Armand Lauriente’s Sunderland move collapsed in the summer, the Black Cats have kept tabs on the 27-year-old.

However, their overall interest has cooled somewhat with Galatasaray and Besiktas showing the strongest intent. The Lions are currently top of the table and want Lauriente to join former Napoli star Victor Osimhen in Istanbul.

Head coach Okan Buruk has been given favorable reviews on Lauriente and would be keen to strike a deal. The same applies to Black Eagles boss Sergen Yalcin.

Lauriente is unlikely to sign a new contract with I Neroverdi which has excelled the interest from both Turkish sides. All that remains is for the duo to test head coach Fabio Grosso’s resolve with a suitable bid.

Armand Lauriente Price Tag

Back in July, Fenerbahce offered €15million for Armand Lauriente. Although they aren’t in the running for January, it’s believed a fee of approximately €20-25million will be enough to tempt Sassuolo into negotiations.

Especially as Lauriente’s current deal expires in 2027. That in itself gives the Serie A side little leverage to thrash out a better deal. Hence why the I Neroverdi will likely try to ship him off next month to obtain a suitable replacement.

Lauriente is widely considered as one of Fabio Grosso’s finest assets. Naturally, the 2006 World Cup winner doesn’t want to lose the Frenchman but it now seems inevitable.

Sassuolo’s Transfer Targets

The rumor mill has been relatively quiet for new arrivals at Sassuolo this winter. The most likely candidate to join would be Roma’s Niccolo Pisilli.

The central midfielder is set to leave the capital on a loan deal in order to receive more minutes on the pitch. So far this campaign, the one-cap Azzurri man has just three Serie A appearances to his name.

Pisilli has played four times in the Europa League but accumulated just 155 minutes. His only start came in the recent 3-0 win over Celtic.

If Armand Lauriente was to leave, I Neroverdi will need to look at a number of attacking prospects who could potentially fill the void.

Fabio Grosso and his team will be working hard behind the scenes with a range of targets set to become prominent in the coming weeks.
