Milan are reportedly making great progress in their pursuit of West Ham striker Niclas Fullkrug.

Milan submit Niclas Fullkrug offer with West Ham striker eager for San Siro move

The Rossoneri are in need of strengthening their attacking ranks in the January transfer window.

While plenty of names have been linked with a move to Milan, Fullkrug is currently the likeliest option to join next month.

Reports over the past few days have been suggesting that Fullkrug to Milan is on the right path.

Now, Sky Germany have reported that the Rossoneri have submitted an official offer to West Ham for their striker.

Florian Plettenberg claims that Milan have requested a loan with option to buy Fullkrug.

West Ham are now internally reviewing the offer and would like to include at least an obligation to buy in the contract.

Fullkrug is reportedly also a target for a number of German Bundesliga sides.

However, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Fullkrug’s first-choice option is a move to San Siro.

Romano corroborated other reports in claiming negotiations are well under way between the various parties.

Igli Tare apparently wants to close the Fullkrug deal immediately so the player can arrive in Milan around December 29.

This is ahead of formalizing everything on January 2, the date the winter transfer window reopens.

Other strikers Milan could pursue in 2026

Milan’s pursuit of Fullkrug comes ahead of Santiago Gimenez’s surgery to help him recover from an ankle injury.

In addition, Christopher Nkunku is struggling at Milan, with Allegri reportedly looking at alternatives to him.

Fullkrug is likely to be a stop-gap for the Rossoneri between now and the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

Then, in the summer, Milan will seemingly look for a long-term option to take their front line to the next level.

Big names linked with the Rossoneri include Robert LewandowskiAndrea Pinamonti and Lorenzo Lucca.

Dusan Vlahovic is also reportedly on Milan’s radar, with his Juventus contract expiring at the end of the season.

Gimenez himself has been linked with a move away from Milan, but this is unlikely to happen in January now.
