OFFICIAL: Stefano Pioli joins Al-Nassr

Start

Stefano Pioli has officially bid farewell to AC Milan and embarked on a new adventure in Saudi Arabia. The Italian coach has been announced as the new manager of Al-Nassr, joining forces with football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Saudi club made the announcement in a unique and nostalgic manner, using the familiar “Pioli is on fire” chant that Milan fans often sang for their former coach. This musical tribute served as the backdrop for the social media reveal, creating an instant connection with Pioli’s past success.

Pioli’s departure from Milan was finalized earlier when he signed the termination of his contract, which originally ran until June 30, 2025. This mutual agreement allows Milan to save approximately 10 million euros in gross salaries for Pioli and his staff.

The move to Al-Nassr comes with a significant financial package for Pioli. He has signed a three-year contract, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2027, with a reported annual net salary of around €7 million.

Pioli’s appointment comes on the heels of the dismissal of Portuguese coach Luis Castro, who was let go following recent disappointing results – draws against Al-Ahli in the league and Al-Shorta in the Asian Champions League.
