Real Madrid are reportedly looking to make a €120m move for Milan winger Rafael Leao after they failed to sign French forward Kylian Mbappé this summer.
Leao was recently named Serie A Player Of The Season for 2021-22 after his devastating displays helped the Rossoneri clinch a 19th Serie A title.
The Portuguese international ended the season with 11 goals and 10 assists in 34 Serie A games, attracting the attention of Paris Saint-Germain in recent months.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Milan have been working to extend Leao’s contract beyond 2024, and talks with his agent Jorge Mendes are expected to take place in the coming days. During the talks, Mendes is expected to discuss the €120m offer from Real Madrid, although are reportedly not prepared to sell their startlet.
A previous report confirmed that Leao has a €150m clause included in his contract, but Milan don’t expect Real to trigger the clause and the player will likely sign a new deal to tie him to the Rossoneri for the foreseeable future.
