La Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed the details of Roberto Mancini’s contract with the Saudi national side, where he will earn a reported €30m-a-year. The EURO 2020 winner announced his decision to resign from the Azzurri earlier this month, much to the surprise of the Italian footballing world. It was soon revealed that he would be making the switch to the Middle East to take over the Saudi national side, and Gazzetta have now reported some of the details of his contract.
According to the newspaper, Mancini has agreed a contract with the Saudi Federation to become their national team coach until the 2026 World Cup.
The former Lazio and Inter manager will earn a reported €30m per year for the next three years with an official announcement about the appointment expected very soon.
Italy team manager Gabriele Oriali could join Mancini in Saudi, with Gigi Buffon possibly taking over his role with the Azzurri.
