West Ham closing in on Piotr Zieliński

Premier League side West Ham United are reportedly raising their offer to sign Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski. The Polish International has been in talks with the Hammers in recent days but a move was thought to be a way off as the clubs have yet to agree a price.

Il Mattino report that the club have offered a reported salary of £96,000 per week to the 28-year-old while their bid to Napoli is €35m, close to the €40m asking price.

Zielinski currently earns close to €4m per season in Naples, so the improved West Ham terms would raise his wage to around €6m per season.

The midfielder has spent the last six seasons in Naples, scoring 40 goals in 281 appearances for the Partenopei.
