Milan hold positive talks for Niclas Fullkrug

Start

Milan’s transfer market activities are heating up as they look to strengthen their attacking options for the upcoming season. While the club has nearly finalized the acquisition of Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid, with medical examinations expected within the next 48 hours, they are not stopping there.

Gianluca Di Marzio report that the Milan management, keen to provide new coach Paulo Fonseca with additional firepower, has set their sights on another striker. The name at the top of their list is Niclas Fullkrug, currently with Borussia Dortmund. Fullkrug’s position at Dortmund may be under threat due to the arrival of Serhou Guirassy, potentially opening the door for a move.

Recent developments indicate positive progress in Milan’s pursuit of Fullkrug. The club has engaged in new, encouraging contacts with the player’s representatives. A conference call with Fullkrug’s agents took place on July 15, signaling Milan’s serious intent to bring the German international to San Siro.

However, Milan’s immediate priority remains finalizing the Morata deal. Once that transaction is complete, the club plans to intensify their efforts to secure Fullkrug. The strategy appears to be a two-pronged approach to significantly bolster their attacking options for the coming season.
