Pioli’s future at Milan to be decided at the end of current season

Start

Despite Stefano Pioli being heavily under scrutiny following the Rossonerri‘s poor run of form throughout the second half of the campaign, Milan have no intentions to make an immediate decision regarding his duties at the club.

So far this season, Milan currently sit in fourth-place with 48 points, only one point above the Mourinho’s Roma.  Over the past five matches within the league, the Rossonerri have only attained seven points out of the 15 available, dropping points to far inferior teams such as Fiorentina, Salernitana, and Udinese.

Although Milan have clinched their spot within the quarter-finals of the Champions where they are set to face fellow Italian outfits Napoli, a great deal of concern has emerged regarding Pioli’s ability to take Milan to next level as the club has failed to win a single match within the month of March.

According to reports from MilanNews, the club does not plan to put an immediate end to Pioli’s role but rather, they plan to have an evaluation at the end of the campaign to decide whether Pioli should stay at the helm of the club.

With eleven games remaining until the current campaign reaches its closing stages, it remains to be seen if the Italian tactician can help his side return to winning ways and not have his current contract until 2025 be terminated sooner than anticipated.
