Roma are looking to bolster their midfield further after the acquisition of Enzo Le Fée from Rennes. Their latest target is Boubakary Soumaré, the 25-year-old midfielder currently with Leicester City.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Virgilio ) Soumaré, who recently returned to Leicester after a loan spell at Sevilla where he made 34 appearances, is reportedly unlikely to stay with the English club. With limited playing time expected behind Wilfred Ndidi and Harry Winks, Leicester has set a €15 million price tag for the French midfielder.
Roma’s interest in Soumaré is not new. The club had previously considered him when Georginio Wijnaldum faced injury issues. The appointment of Florent Ghisolfi as Roma’s new director, who has experience in Ligue 1 where Soumaré excelled with Lille, could facilitate the move.
Meanwhile, Roma is open to selling Edoardo Bove, valued at €12 million, with Fiorentina showing interest. However, the Florence-based club seems to be leaning towards other midfield options, including Venezia’s Tanner Tessmann.
