The Juventus transfer targets for this summer will include some of Europe’s finest as the Old Lady seek for improvements on the pitch.
Furthermore, Bianconeri club legend Michel Platini has insisted a Champions League finish in 2024-25 has helped boost finances.
This season was largely underwhelming under former head coach Thiago Motta. The 42-year-old only lasted nine months at the helm before being replaced by Igor Tudor.
Under the guidance of the latter, Juve did improve at the end of the campaign. The Croatian managed to lead the club to fourth in the rankings and secured Champions League soccer.
However, Platini reflected on Juventus’ 2024-25 campaign and insisted it was not too bad and could have been worse.
Michel Platini On Juventus
“I haven’t followed it much, I mostly look at the results of the Serie A matches. Since I’m no longer the UEFA president, I’m a little less interested in what’s happening in the rest of Europe,” Platini told Calciomercato.
“I’m happy that Juve managed to get fourth place. After all, Trapattoni always said that if you can’t get the better of your opponent, the important thing is not to lose.
“And that’s what the Bianconeri did: they did not win, but they gave themselves access to the Champions League. A significant achievement for the club’s financial needs.”
What Is The Juventus Summer Transfer Budget?
According to the best offshore sportsbooks in 2025, Juventus will be targeting a number of players in the off season. As it stands, the Old Lady’s summer transfer budget is unclear.
Something that the Bianconeri will have to do is fork out €65.2million on players who are already on their roster. That is simply because when they signed the likes of Teun Koopmeiners, Douglas Luiz and Lloyd Kelly, the transfer fees were to paid in instalments over the next few years.
Finishing in the UCL spots has certainly helped and so will the potential sale of Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian forward is likely to leave Turin in the coming months and would fetch a fee of approximately €45m.
It’s likely that Juve will have around €100m-150m to spend on new recruits this summer. If they can sell Vlahovic and use funds gained from UCL entry.
Juventus Transfer Targets
Arsenal and Juventus have circled Ademola Lookman as his Atalanta exit nears. However, the Old Lady will have plenty of other transfer targets on their shortlist.
Lookman is naturally very sought after owing to his exploits for Atalanta in recent years. Canadian forward Jonathan David is another who remains on Juve’s watchlist.
The Lille star’s contract is up this summer so no transfer fee would be involved. Meanwhile, Morten Frendrup and Rasmus Hojlund are also reportedly being tracked.
Will Igor Tudor Leave Juventus?
A lot of Juventus’ transfer targets perhaps won’t materialize until the future of current head coach Igor Tudor is confirmed. Many expect the Croat to leave Turin this summer.
Tudor has reportedly said he won’t go to the FIFA Club World Cup if the Old Lady are planning to remove him. A Juventus return for Antonio Conte is still on the table after his exploits for Napoli this season.
Those rumors will have likely unsettled Tudor and he certainly won’t want to hang around if he isn’t wanted. Club legend Alessandro Del Piero has recently completed his coaching badges so that remains a possibility.
