Arturo Vidal: ‘I dream of playing for Flamengo’

Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal looks set to leave the club this summer, saying he ‘dreams of playing for Flamengo’. The 34-year-old is expected to be one of the midfielders Inter will aim to move on in June as they look to rejuvenate their squad.

Speaking to TNT, Vidal revealed that his time at the club might be up and a return to South America could be on the cards:

I like Flamengo a lot, the president’s gesture where he gave me a shirt as a gift filled my heart. I dream of playing there, I hope to do it very soon. When the management wants me to, I’ll do everything I can to go there.

My European chapter could end, I don’t know if it’s the right time but if it does my next objective will be one, to win with Flamengo. The team is competitive, the best in South America.”
