Inter’s next games against Barcelona and Sassuolo could prove decisive in coach Simone Inzaghi’s future at the club. The Nerazzurri lost again at the weekend, this time to former coach Jose Mourinho’s Roma side, a defeat that has piled on the pressure.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport report that Inzaghi’s future will be decided in the next next nine days and over those next two matches in particular.
Inter have managed just four wins so far this season in Serie A, losing four matches, their last two defeats coming against Udinese and Roma.
Nerazzurri President Steven Zhang dined with the players and coach last week and is expecting a reaction from the team, but the situation after the loss to Roma is now considered ‘worrying’.
Inter face Barcelona this week before playing the return leg the following week, with Sassuolo sandwiched inbetween at the weekend.
