New Juventus signing Gleison Bremer says his aims with the club are the same: To win Serie A and the Champions League. The Brazilian international made the switch from Torino to the Bianconeri a few days ago and in his first interview with the clubs official channel, he explained why he chose to make the move and what he wants to achieve in black and white:
You’re now a Juventus player, how does it feel to hear those words?
Its a moment I’ve always been waiting for. Juventus are a massive club. I’ve happy to be here
What made you choose Juventus?
Juventus are perennial winners and I want to win, I spoke to Giorgio Chiellini and I decided Juventus were the best team.
Juventus have a long tradition of amazing defenders, I’m sure you want to join that list. Is there any Juve player past or present you look up to in particular?
Sure, I’ve always said Chiellini is the best Italian defender, he’s a player I’d like to emulate. There’s no one who defends likes him. I’ll try and take after him
You were named Serie A defender of the season after a series of strong performances for Torino, where do you think you’ve improved the most in the last year?
I had a good coach and he taught me some things. I’ve been in Italy for four years and improved year on year. I’ve improved my all round defensive game.
What do you make of the new Juventus side – Besides you, the club have signed stars such as Di Maria and Pogba, among others
When I saw Pogba and Di maria had arrived I had no doubt that Juventus were the club for me. We want to win every season
We could say you were destined to wear black and white as they are also the colours of Atletico Minero, your first club
It was fate, yeah. I have a black an white dog too! It was meant to be.
What’s the biggest dream you’d like to realise at Juventus?
I want to win Serie A, the Champions League…..everything, that’s the target.
