Federico Chiesa ‘disconnected’ with Juventus

Start

Juventus winger Federico Chiesa is reportedly considering his future with the club, in part due to working under Max Allegri. Journalist Adriano del Monte reports that there is a ‘disconnect’ between the Italian international, who joined the Bianconeri in a big money from from rivals Fiorentina, and the club.

Chiesa spent much of the current season out through injury, having only recently returned to the first team, but has often been played out of position. Del Monte reports that part of the reason for the players disconnect is Allegri himself, with Chiesa growing frustrated at being used in multiple roles this season.

Reports have also suggested a rift between striker Dusan Vlahovic and Allegri, with La Stampa recently claiming that the Serbian striker would push for an exit, if the coach were to remain in charge next season.

A report from Tuttosport claimed yesterday that winger Angel Di Maria faked an injury after learning he would not feature in the squad for the Bologna game, only adding to the pressure Allegri is currently under.

Despite the reports, Juve Chief Football Officer claimed that the managers position was not in doubt, saying: “Allegri’s confirmation is obvious. We have a four-year project with him, we’re not even halfway there yet.”
