Kevin De Bruyne Transfer News
According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio and Corriere dello Sport, Napoli have joined the race for Kevin De Bruyne.
The Azzurri are understood to have made initial contact with De Bruyne’s representatives. As it stands, it’s not yet known whether the Belgian star would be interested in a move to Naples.
Antonio Conte’s side currently led the Serie A standings ahead of second-placed Inter by three points. Conte’s charges have already guaranteed Champions League soccer for next season.
That in itself could sway De Bruyne that his immediate future lies with Napoli. The likes of Romelu Lukaku, Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour have all moved from England to Italy in recent years.
The trio have all been huge hits at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. Especially Scottish international McTominay.
From De Bruyne’s persepctive, the 33-year old previously revealed he’d be ‘open to anything’ when the news came out Man City wouldn’t be renewing his contract.
Only time will tell if the Azzurri can lure De Bruyne. If they were to pull off the coup, it would be one of their finest signings since a certain Diego Maradona played for the club.
