Gazzetta: Juventus prioritise Galeno as transfer target

Start

Juventus are gearing up for a final push in the transfer market, with sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli focusing on reinforcing the attack. After securing around €50 million from the sales of Matias Soulé and Dean Huijsen, the club has set its sights on three key targets: Jean-Clair Todibo, Teun Koopmeiners, and a new winger.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TMW), Porto’s Galeno has emerged as the top choice for the wide attacking position. The Brazilian winger is said to be climbing the ranks of Juventus’ transfer wishlist, with the club viewing him as a more attainable target compared to Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi.

Porto’s current financial situation could work in Juventus’ favor. The Portuguese club is under pressure to comply with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations and may need to offload some players. Galeno is reportedly among those who could be sold, and the player himself is believed to be open to a move.

The potential deal for Galeno is estimated to be around €30 million, which is significantly less than the €60 million Borussia Dortmund is demanding for Adeyemi. This price difference makes the Galeno operation more feasible for Juventus, especially considering their budget constraints.
