Juventus 1-1 Roma Player Ratings

Juventus had the better chances, having gone ahead early through Dusan Vlahovic, but had to settle for a draw against a dogged Roma side.

Juventus

Tek: Made one comfortable save in the first half but was largely untroubled for the opening exchanges. Could do very little on the Roma equaliser. 6.0/10

Danilo: Seemed better suited to playing CB in the first half, very composed throughout. 6.5/10

Bremer: Barely put a foot wrong in the opening ’45, looked a better player at RCB. 6.5/10

De Sciglio: Did well enough at RB to begin with, offering the occasional threat down the flank 6.0/10

Sandro: A positive early start but quiet thereafter. 6.0/10

Cuadrado: Won the early free-kick to put Juve ahead. Had to better on the Juve breakaway chance that he fired right at Patricio. 6.5/10

Rabiot: Made some very lazy challenges early on, offered very little in the final third, subbed off. 5.5/10

Locatelli Silly early foul on Dybala to earn a booking, had the ball in the net but disallowed for a harsh handball. Very decent. 6.0/10

Miretti: Great passage of play to steal the ball and counter and generally looked a a threat every time he moved forward.  6.5/10

Kostic: Mixed opening 45 with some good deliveries into the box, some wasted.  5.5/10

Vlahovic: Incredible start, scoring with his first touch of the game, converting the free-kick. 6.5/10

Roma

Patricio: Very smart save to deny Cuadrado on the break and generally more composed as the game went on.  6.5/10

Mancini: Had the measure of the Juve attack in the opening ’45. Relatively untroubled. 6.0/10

Smalling:  Decisive in the key moments, snuffing out Miretti on the break. 6.5/10

Ibanez: Like Mancini, he did well enough in the opening exchanges and throughout. 6.0/10

Karsdorp: Made some decent runs down the flank but the end product was lacking and Kostic had his measure. 5.5/10

Matic: Gave away the early free-kick that put Juve ahead.  5.5/10

Cristante: Didn’t really impose himself and made a reckless challenge to draw a booking.  5.5/10

Spinazzola: Encouraging early runs down the left but subbed out at H/T.  5.5/10

Pellegrini: Good early effort, but straight at Tek. Didn’t find many opportunities thereafter.  6.0/10

Dybala: Didn’t seem overawed by the occasion, making smart runs and drawing fouls. Whipped the ball back in for Abraham to convert.  6.0/10

Abraham: Surprisingly quiet and well marshaled by Danilo and Bremer. One half chance that was easily dealt with by Tek. Took Roma’s equaliser really well  6.5/10
