Juventus have opened talks for Kalvin Phillips

Start

Juventus have begun talks with Manchester City over the possible transfer of English midfielder Kalvin Philips. The England international has played a bit-part for City since joining them in 2022, making just 30 appearances to date, while the Bianconeri are keen on bolstering their midfield options after losing Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli for the remainder of the season.

Transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano confirms that talks between Juve and City have begun, with the 28-year-old midfielder reportedly open to the move.

According to Romano, the Bianconeri have offered to take Philips on loan with an option to buy him at the end of the season, but City want the option to be mandatory.

Philips is a product of the Leeds youth academy, graduating to their first team in 2014 and going on to make 214 appearances across the Championship and Premier League.
