Juventus will not renew Di Maria contract

Juventus have reportedly decided against renewing the contract of Argentine winger Angel Di Maria this summer. The 35-year-old arrived in Turin last year on a one-year contract after being linked with a move to Barcelona. A series of impressive performances at the start of the year had led to speculation that Di Maria would agree terms on a contract extension.

Sky Sport Italia report that the Bianconeri have reportedly decided against renewing the Argentine’s contract, suggesting that the reasoning is related to his fluctuating form this season.

Di Maria has scored 8 goals and provided 7 assists in 39 appearances this season, but has failed to add to that tally since February, his last assist coming against Torino in a 4-2 victory.
