As Lazio gear up for the upcoming Serie A season, the club’s management, led by Claudio Lotito and Angelo Fabiani, are actively pursuing key signings to bolster their midfield lineup. Following the acquisition of Boulaye Dia from Salernitana on a loan with an option to buy for €10 million plus bonuses, Lazio is now focusing on strengthening their midfield with one or two significant additions.
Calciomercato report that one of the prominent names on Lazio’s radar is Carlos Alcaraz, also known as Charly. The Argentine midfielder, who had a brief stint with Juventus, is currently with Southampton but is available on the market. Lazio is considering Alcaraz as a potential target, though they face competition from Flamengo, which has already made an offer of €18 million plus bonuses for the player.
Meanwhile, Michael Folorunsho emerges as a more concrete option for Lazio. The midfielder, who has had a fallout with Napoli’s coach Antonio Conte, is available for a transfer fee of €12 million. Having developed in Lazio’s youth academy, Folorunsho is reportedly keen on returning to the club.
Another intriguing possibility is Cesare Casadei, currently at Chelsea. With limited playing opportunities in England, Casadei is eager to return to Italy, making him a viable candidate for Lazio’s midfield reinforcement.
