Milan Set Sights on Udinese’s Lazar Samardzic

Start

Milan has turned their attention to Udinese’s talented Serbian midfielder Lazar Samardzic, submitting an offer for the player as they look to bolster their midfield options for the upcoming season.

Gazzetta dello Sport and Matteo Moretto report that the Rossoneri’s interest in Samardzic has intensified following complications in their pursuit of Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana. While Milan had reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Fofana, Monaco’s financial demands have proven to be a stumbling block, prompting the Italian giants to explore alternative options.

Milan’s offer for Samardzic is believed to be just under €20 million, a figure they hope will be enough to tempt Udinese into selling their prized asset. The club has presented proposals to both Udinese and the player himself, and is now awaiting responses from both parties.

Samardzic, a former RB Leipzig player, has caught the eye with his performances in Serie A. The 22-year-old midfielder’s potential move to Milan comes a year after a transfer to Inter Milan fell through due to complications involving the player’s father and his agent.
