Napoli want Nicolo Zaniolo this summer

Napoli are the latest team to be linked with a move for Roma winger Nicolo Zaniolo this summer. The 22-year-old has a contract with the Giallorossi until 2024 but has been closely linked with a move to Juventus in recent years.

Il Corriere dello Sport report that Napoli are firmly interested in signing Zaniolo with the newspaper highlighting that their interest is ‘serious.’

Despite Juve’s sustained interest in the youngster, Corriere suggest that Napoli are the ‘suitor with the most concrete intentions’ for Zaniolo, despite the valuation of the player being €50 million.

Il Corriere go a step further and highlight the recent issues between Roma manager Jose Mourinho and Zaniolo while confirming that talks over a renewal beyond 2024 have stopped.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis reportedly sees Zaniolo as the ideal replacement for Lorenzo Insigne who is set to leave Napoli at the end of the season.
