40,000 Inter Milan Fans Touch Down in Munich For the Estimated $1,500 Trip of a Lifetime

Start

How much do Champions League final tickets cost? Below we unpick the true cost of hotels and flights, to beer prices and tickets to see how much Inter Milan fans are forking out to be in Munich this year.

How Many Inter Milan Fans Are Going to Munich?

A Nerazzurri storm in brewing in Munich ahead of Saturday’s Champions League final.

Some 40,000 Inter Milan fans are believed to have, or are making the trip to Bavaria in the hopes of experiencing a first Champions League title since 2010.

The fanbase are expectant, having had to concede their Serie A crown to Napoli on the final day, which could end up leaving them trophy-less for the first time since the 2019-20 season.

Inter Milan Champions League Final Ticket Allocation

Despite the Allianz Arena’s 75,000 capacity, Inter’s 40,000-strong swarm of fans is over double their official allocation for the final.

Both Inter Milan and PSG have been allocated 18,000 tickets each, while the remainder is made available to UEFA’s corporate sponsors, and a small allocation to the public. Knowing the lengths that both of these fanbases go to attending matches, it is likely there will be more than the 18,000 allocation in the stands.

How Much Do Champions League Final Tickets Cost?

UEFA have continued their promise to offer affordable tickets, albeit in extremely limited quantities.

Both Inter and PSG fans had the option to purchase ‘Fan First’ tickets — the cheapest Champions League final seats for 2025 – which would set you back $80.

However, the prices quickly rise in the stadium’s more premium seating.

  • Category 3 – $207
  • Category 2 – $750
  • Category 1 – $1,100

For any fans who missed out on the original wave of tickets, and are hoping to snag one on a third party platform, current prices on comparison website Seatpick are sitting at a minimum of $2,600.

2025 Champions League Final Ticket Prices vs 2024

The ‘Fan First’ tickets allocated to each team have had a frozen price since being introduced, but premium seating has soared in price compared to 2024’s final at Wembley.

The biggest rise comes in the Category 1 ticket band, which is reflective of the wider trend towards organisers focusing on maximising profits from its wealthiest spectators.

Fan First $80 $80 0%
Category 3 $215 $207 -3.79%
Category 2 $577 $750 +26.7%
Category 1 $823 $1,100 +28.8%

Flights From Milan to Munich

Luckily for Inter fans flying from home, Munich is a short one hour and 10 minute flight.

Flights with German Arline Lufthansa in the week leading up to the final are sitting at around $300 for a round trip, flying out on Friday and returning to Italy on Sunday.

Air Dolomiti are also offering similar prices at $370.

Allianz Arena Food and Drink Prices

Providing food and drink prices at the Allianz Arena stay the same at any given matchday, fans can expect to pay just over $7 for a pint of local Paulaner Münchner Hell beer.

Hot dogs, sandwiches and schnitzels are all priced around the same at $7.33, while soft drinks are a similar amount.

Elsewhere in the city, the average cost of a beer is just over $5.

Munich Hotels and Accommodation Prices

Budget hotels in Munich start at a price of around $100 per-night, although most of these have been booked out by fans from Milan and Paris.

According to Booking.com, the average price of a hotel in Munich in the week leading up to the final is $225 per-night.

Estimated Total Cost of Attending the Champions League Final in 2025

Using the figures that were available on official sites and comparison platforms, it is estimated that the total cost of attending the Champions League final for Inter Milan fans would amount to $1500.

That is also excluding interior travel, such as using public transport, taxis and Ubers, as well as the associated costs of food and drink whilst staying in the city.

The best offshore sportsbooks give Inter a 43.5% win probability, which is seemingly enough for 40,000 fans to bite the bullet on an estimated $1500 of their hard earned cash, for a chance to witness their team make history.
