Club Friendly: Liverpool Vs Milan Prediction, Betting Tips And Odds

Start

Here at FootItalia, we’ll take a look at the Liverpool vs Milan odds, betting tips and provide a match prediction ahead of Saturday’s club friendly in Hong Kong.

The Serie A giants gave a positive account of themselves last time out against Arsenal in Singapore. Bukayo Saka scored the only goal of the game but Max Allegri’s men went on to win the pre-arranged penalty shootout.

Arne Slot’s side has won the last three H2H encounters against the Italians. The most recent came in September 2024 when the Merseysiders secured a 3-1 victory in a UCL clash at the San Siro.

Liverpool Vs Milan Team News And Predicted Lineups

The Arsenal vs Milan highlights certainly demonstrated the good and bad bits from the Rossoneri’s opener on their 2025 tour of Asia.

Max Allegri’s side offered little going forward and the Italian is expected to try and address that issue in Hong Kong on Saturday.

Star man Rafael Leao will be the main goal threat and the Portuguese star is expected to play just behind Noah Okafor at the Kai Tak Stadium.

Samuele Ricci and Pietro Terracciano earned their debuts against the Gunners. Latest addition Pervis Estupinan is also expected to make his non-competitive bow for the club against Liverpool.

Luka Modric and Santiago Gimenez remain absent for Il Diavolo. The duo have been given extra time off after their participation in the Club World Cup and Gold Cup earlier this summer.

Meanwhile, the English Premier League champions are set to unleash Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike. The duo are set to make their first appearances after joining from Leverkusen and Frankfurt.

Virgil van Dijk, Alexis Mac Allister, Luis Diaz, Alisson and Ibrahima Konate are all expected to feature to some capacity. The quintet all missed the friendly win against Preston.

Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez are expected to start in Hong Kong. Goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is also set to feature from the start.

Liverpool Predicted XI: Mamardashvili; Frimpong, Konate, Gomez, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Endo, Jones; Salah, Nunez, Ngumoha

Milan Predicted XI: Terracciano; Tomori, Thiaw, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Ricci, Musah, Loftus-Cheek, Chukwueze; Leao, Okafor

Liverpool Vs Milan Prediction

Liverpool head into the clash as the odds-on favorites with offshore sportsbooks. However, Milan will be keen to cause a minor upset in Hong Kong.

The Rossoneri showed small glimpses of their qualities against Arsenal last time out. Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao are the obvious source of goals and more vital minutes under their belts will do them the world of good.

Nonetheless, it’s a seemingly daunting task to take on a Reds side that have added an abundance of talented players to their ranks this summer.

We expect Max Allegri’s side to try and frustrate Arne Slot’s men but ultimately, the English Premier League champions will be too hot to handle.

Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Milan (90 minutes) – 10/1

Liverpool Vs Milan Betting Tips

  • Liverpool vs Milan betting tip 1: Darwin Nunez to score first at 11/2.

Despite being linked with Napoli earlier this summer, Darwin Nunez remains a Liverpool player and has already shone in pre-season. The Uruguayan put in an impressive performance against Preston and netted the second in a 3-1 win.

We expect Nunez to start in Hong Kong and find the back of the net once again.

  • Liverpool vs Milan betting tip 1: Over 3.5 goals at 6/5.

Liverpool have so much firepower in their ranks that over 3.5 goals looks a given. Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike are likely to feature and they’ll be keen to show Reds supporters what they are all about.

Milan certainly has it in them to breach the Reds backline. Especially with the likes of Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic in their XI.
