The Lorenzo Lucca transfer to Napoli on an initial loan deal from Udinese has officially been confirmed.
On Friday, the Serie A champions announced that Lucca will be moving to the Maradona Stadium on a temporary basis for the 2025-26 campaign.
A €9million fee will be paid up front to the Bianconeri. An obligation to buy Lucca has been inserted into the deal. Therefore, a further €26m will be paid at the end of the season with an extra €5m in add-ons.

With Antonio Conte targeting a new Napoli goalkeeper, the Italian has certainly increased his firepower ahead of the new Serie A season.
Lorenzo Lucca’s initial loan move is the sixth signing of the summer transfer window for the champions. The Azzurri international will join the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Noa Lang in Naples.
The move for Lucca came to fruition after Conte’s side was priced out of a move for Darwin Nunez. Current employers Liverpool wanted €60million for the Uruguayan which was deemed too expensive.

The Lorenzo Lucca 2024-25 stats demonstrate just why he was so in-demand this summer. The 6ft 7in forward scored 12 Serie A goals for Udinese as the club finished in mid-table.
He also chipped in with two assists and scored twice in the Coppa Italia. Lucca has gone on to establish himself in the senior Italy roster. Hence why a number of clubs were tracking him over the past few months.
Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Milan and Roma all declared an interest in Lucca. However, the lure of moving to Napoli and playing under Antonio Conte proved too hard to resist.

Another simply posted: “Welcome Lorenzo,” with a series of light-blue love heart emojis.
A third added their congratulations on the move. They stated: “Welcome to Naples Lucca, Forza Napoli Sempre.”
There was also another message from a Galatasaray supporter. She added her delight at the impending signing of Victor Osmihen and explained that Napoli is now her second favorite team.
“We’re delighted to have acquired Osimhen. I hope Lucca becomes a legend in Napoli. Napoli, the people’s team, is now our second favorite team.”
