Who Is New Inter Signing Petar Sucic?

Start

The Petar Sucic Inter transfer has officially been completed by the Nerazzurri on Wednesday – but who exactly is he?

Sucic will join up with his new team-mates as he embarks on his Serie A journey. The Biscione faithful can look forward to seeing Sucic strut his stuff on the pitch in the coming weeks.

Sucic has a glowing reputation and the new incoming head coach will have a special player to nurture and utilize at their disposal.

Who is Petar Sucic?

Petar Sucic is a 22-year-old Croatian defensive midfielder who is Inter’s first signing of the summer transfer window. Born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sucic has represented the Croat national team on seven occasions.

Sucic began his senior career with Dinamo Zagreb. He penned his first professional contract with Zagreb in 2022. In total, Sucic made over 70 appearances for the club and scored nine times.

He won the Croatian League and cup with Zagreb in the 2023-24 season. Inter’s newest recruit also landed the Bosnian Premier League and cup whilst on loan at Zrinjski Mostar in 2022-23.

Sucic is the cousin of fellow Croatian international and Real Sociedad star Luka Sucic. The latter previously played in for RB Salzburg.

Petar Sucic Inter Transfer

The Petar Sucic Inter transfer will provide Nerazzurri supporters with a much needed boost. Especially as Cesc Fabregas may not be able to manage Inter owing to UEFA pro license issues.

Sucic is a defensive midfielder who can be viewed as a long-term successor to Hakan Calhanoglu. As per Fabrizio Romano, the deal for Sucic was completed in February but has only now been made official.

Sucic will link up with the rest of the Inter squad in the coming days as he familiarizes himself with his new surroundings and team-mates.

Petar Sucic Transfer Fee

Reports do vary slightly but the majority of sports outlets are confirming the Petar Sucic transfer fee as €14million plus €2.5m add-ons and sell-on clause.

Sucic’s departure is not the most expensive in Dinamo Zagreb’s history. Current Man City and Croatia star Josko Gvardiol takes the honors at €36.8m. Dani Olmo, Marko Pjaca and Luka Modric complete the top four.

Can Petar Sucic Play In The Club World Cup?

Petar Sucic will be available to feature for Inter at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the USA. It’s also expected that Luis Henrique will be part of the Nerazzurri roster.

The Brazilian is set to sign in the coming days as Inter begin rebuilding their team ahead of the new season. Those who regularly track the best offshore sportsbooks can find all the latest Club World Cup odds and markets.
