The 2024-25 Serie A Scudetto prize money is heading to Napoli after the Azzurri pipped Inter to the crown on GW38.
At the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, a Scott McTominay stunner and a Romelu Lukaku goal ensured the title returned to Naples after a 2-0 win over Cagliari.
However, how much will Antonio Conte’s side receive and how does it compare to the rest of Europe’s top leagues? Here at FootItalia, we’ve crunched the numbers to find out which division pays the most for winning their respective championship.
We will also take a look at what every club received for their participation in Italy’s elite soccer division. Exactly €1.5billion is divided amongst the 20 teams.

Serie A 2024-25 Prize Pool
The Serie A 2024-25 prize pool was a cool €1.5billion. Which on reflection, is a truly staggering amount of cash to be distributed amongst the 20 teams.
Which is exactly what the league does. For 50% of that sum anyway (€750million). That is irrespective of a club’s final position in the overall rankings. All participants pocket €37.5m.
The source of the overall Serie A 2024-25 prize pool comes from domestic and international TV rights, sponsorship deals and business partnerships.
Serie A Scudetto Prize Money
Now, here’s the more interesting and slightly surprising part. Napoli earned just an extra €32.6million on top of their €37.5m payment for winning the Scudetto in 2024-25.
In Italy, prize money is determined by a club’s popularity and fan base. That totals 20% of the remaining 50% prize pool allocation. The other 30% is divided up based upon performances on the pitch and results gained since 1946.

English Premier League 2024-25 Winners Prize Money
The English Premier League 2024-25 winners earn a substantial amount more than the Serie A victors. Which is perhaps why free agent Kevin De Bruyne has been offered a significant pay cut to join Napoli this summer!
This season, Arne Slot’s Liverpool won the EPL title with four games to spare. The Reds wrapped up 1st in the rankings after thrashing Tottenham 5-1 in late April.
For their excellence, the Merseysiders earned a cool £56.4million (€67.2m) for coming top of the pile. That equates to over double what the Azzurri earned.

How Much Did Barcelona Earn For Winning LaLiga?
Barcelona took the honors in LaLiga in 2024-25. Hansi Flick’s side held off arch rivals Real Madrid to secure their 28th Spanish championship title.
Stars such as Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha proved too hot to handle for defences across the country.
For their efforts, Barca collected €58.4million. Similar to the payments awarded in Italy and England, the LaLiga prize fund is generated mainly through sponsorships and TV revenue.

How Much Did The 2024-25 Ligue 1 Champions Earn?
France’s Ligue 1 may not have as strong a reputation as the rest of Europe’s top soccer divisions. However, winning the title can prove very prosperous.
In 2024-25, PSG dominated and won the championship in early April. The Parisians did so by a margin of 19 points from nearest challengers Marseille.
Luis Enrique’s side therefore collected a cool €60million for their accomplishment. Only Bayern Munich and Liverpool banked more cash for placing 1st in their respective rankings.
