Roma continue to press for Matiàs Soulé, with new manager Daniele De Rossi keen on bringing the Argentine attacker to the Giallorossi. Despite Juventus’ initial resistance, Roma’s new transfer market operator Ghisolfi is working on multiple fronts to secure Soulé’s signature before the start of the new season.
The first offer from Roma, reportedly around €25 million plus €1 million in bonuses, was rejected by Juventus. The Bianconeri had initially valued Soulé at €40 million at the beginning of the summer, but this figure has since decreased. Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, with Roma expected to make an improved offer in the coming days. It’s believed that an agreement could be reached at around €30 million including bonuses.
Leicester City has also shown interest in Soulé, with an offer similar to Roma’s. However, the player’s preference is to remain in Italy, giving Roma an advantage should Juventus accept both proposals.
Soulé fits the profile of player De Rossi has been seeking: a left-footed right winger capable of cutting inside to shoot or provide key passes. His addition would align with De Rossi’s vision of implementing an attractive, offensive style of play at Roma.
