Roma are pressing ahead in their attempt to sign free-agent Paulo Dybala with Jose Mourinho having contacted the player to convince him. La Joya is still without a club after leaving Juventus last month, but is reportedly the subject of a bidding war between Napoli and the Giallorossi who are both hoping to sign him for free this summer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Corriere dello Sport both write that Mourinho has personally pushed for the move and spoke with Dybala last week to convince him of the Roma project.
Mourinho is so keen to get the 28-year-old to the the club that he has asked sporting director Tiago Pinto to fly to Turin to discuss their offer with Dybala’s agent, Jorge Antun.
The player is expected to make his decision in the coming days with some suggestion that he has already chosen Roma.
