Romelu Lukaku wants Inter stay

Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is set to return to pitch after the international break and has no plans to return to Chelsea when his loan term ends. The 29-year-old Belgian arrived in Milan in the summer having endured a torrid time during his one full season with the Blues having made a €113m move two summers ago.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the player is happy to be back at Inter and prefers to be in Milan over London, despite the striker only having agreed a one-season loan deal.

The Nerazzurri are expected to renew his loan deal with Chelsea next summer, regardless of results this season as they rate him highly.

Luklaku has had a mixed start following his return to Inter, missing close to a month due to muscle injuries but is expected to be in the squad for the Nerazzuri’s match against Roma on 1 October.
