Skriniar renewal breaks down, PSG still interested

PSG are still looking to sign Inter defender Milan Skriniar and may stand a better chance given recent news regarding his contract renewal. The French champions had reportedly made a number of efforts to sign the Slovakian in the summer, but all offers were rejected by the Nerazzurri.

La Gazzetta dello Sport now report that talks between Skriniar and Inter regarding his contract extension had completely broken down and the two parties are at a total stalemate.

Gazzetta suggest there is ‘pessimism’ at the moment regarding any new deal, meaning the defender could leave the club next summer for free.

The report also suggests that PSG are still looming large and could make another effort to sign the 27-year-old in the January transfer window, offering Inter €30m to part with the player, rather lose him for nothing in June.
