Fiorentina winger Nico Gonzalez is reportedly eager to transfer to Juventus and is actively seeking a move to the Allianz Stadium. Despite the interest, Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso has reportedly halted the transfer to Turin, even if the club secures Albert Gudmundsson from Genoa.
Sky Sport Italia suggests that Gonzalez’s transfer is currently paused as Fiorentina waits to finalize the signing of Gudmundsson.
The Italian broadcaster indicates that Fiorentina had previously assured Gonzalez of a summer transfer after declining offers from Leicester City and Brentford. It is reported that Gonzalez has already reached agreements with both Juventus and Atalanta, with Juventus being the frontrunner to acquire the Argentine forward.
Gonzalez, 26, had an impressive season with Fiorentina, scoring 16 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions during the 2023-24 season. His current contract with Fiorentina is set to expire in June 2028.
