Totti would consider Roma return

Francesco Totti is close to a return to Roma having resigned his role as a director in 2019. The Giallorossi legend fell out with previous owner James Pallotta and stopped attending games for a long period.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the former club captain is ever closer to a return to Roma. The suggestion is that his strong rapport with the Friedkin family and José Mourinho has helped heal the rift.

Totti made a return to the Stadio Olimpico this season with the suggestion that ‘there is strong mutual esteem’ between Mourinho and the former striker.

His potential return hasn’t been discussed but the suggestion is that he would be happy with a new role at the club where he played his entire career.
