Verona set to sign Thomas Henry

Verona have agreed terms with Venezia to sign French striker Thomas Henry this summer with the move thought to be at an advanced stage. Henry only joined the Venetians in 2021 but the club are ready to loan him out following their demotion to Serie B.

Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the deal has taken place quickly and only medicals and the official announcement are pending.

Venezia are expected to earn €1m from the loan move with new Verona sporting director Francesco Marroccu working quickly to get the move over the line.

Verona have also redeemed striker Giovanni Simeone but he’s expected to be sold immediately as they look to turn a quick profit.
