11 Serie A players make Serbia World Cup squad

Serbia’s World Cup squad includes no fewer than 11 Serie A players with brothers Sergej and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic both included. The final 26-man squad was announced earlier today with over a third of the team made up of players who feature in Italy’s top division.

In goal, Torino’s Milinkovic-Savic is a contender for a starting spot while Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic is almost certain to start in defence.

The midfield is stacked with players from across the league with Torino’s Sasa Lukic, Verona‘s Darko Lazovic and Ivan Ilic with Juventus‘ Filip Kostic also making the squad.

Up front, there’s Filip Djuricic from Sampdoria,  Fiorentina striker Luka Jovic, Torino forward Nemanja Radonjic and the highest profile player, Juventus’ Vlahovic.
