Roma striker Tammy Abraham is set to miss between three to four months with a knee injury he picked up in the Giallorossi’s final game of the season. The England international was stretched off the pitch late in the match during Roma’s 2-1 win over Spezia.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report on Monday that Abraham was taken to a private medical centre right after the match for an assessment on his knee, with scans later confirming a tear to the cruciate ligament in his left knee. The recovery time from such an injury is expected to be around three to four months, ruling Abraham out of the pre-season tour and the early part of the 2023-24 season.

The 25-year-old started the season slowly, but went on to be decisive in key matches, ending the campaign with 9 goals in 53 appearances across all competitions.
